What creativity. Brings to mind the past , old men and lost memories. As an author I see book covers in photos. This would make a great one.

Beautiful image with that antique look and feel to it. The coloring and light is fantastic. Love the scratches that only adds to the image. The stop watch to me seems to be saying we never seem to have enough time or money.

Absolutely Stunning! So much captured, histpry, character, different eras....and even displays the contrast or reflection on our society now regarding time and money,

Great photo. I just launched a challenge for photos related with time called "It' Time". Why not compete with this one in it?

Location
I took this image in my home studio.Time
In the evening.Lighting
I usually use very simple but effective light sources for my still life images. I use everything from small book lights to adjustable desk lamps. In this case I used a desk lamp to create an ambient light.Equipment
I used a Canon T3i with a standard 18-55 mm lens on a tripod.Inspiration
I have always had a love for history and nostalgia, so shots like this one usually bring back warm memories for myself and hopefully the viewer. I like to create images that remind people of simpler times and take them away from the chaotic, fast paced world around us.Editing
This is a 3 exposure HDR image with some edge enhancements to give a vintage feel to it as well as slightly desaturated colors. In my camera bag
My workhorse camera and lenses at this time are a Canon T3i with Canon 18-55 mm and 55-300 mm lenses. My camera is with me at all times for fear of missing a shot.Feedback
My only advice for images like this and any other like it are to compose them in a manner that is not uniform or sterile in appearance. I also take many angles to choose from to get just the right perspective. I think many people over think arrangements of subjects and they loose the natural composition. Let the Artist in you do what comes natural and go with you 1st instinct.
