Grand Jury Winner

"This clear composition associated with strong light and color contrast make this image very appealing for the eye. The subject, this beautiful tree in warm sunset light, is very well brought out by the colder and darker background. To be picky, I could say it's a rather "simple" image whose first interest for the viewer is mostly based on very strong colors, which can be disturbing for some, but sometimes in landscape photography the most hard is to create something simple, in order to obtain an easily understandable photo, smooth to look at. Here it is a very efficient image with great impact. A very good capture of a particular moment which works very well for me." - Florent Courty

Runner Up

"A very neat image which is rather clear to look at despite it captures a quite complicated scene with a lot of elements and movements. I liked how the herd on the ground creates a sort of pattern made of horns and striped skin. The only thing I "disliked" is the fact the light looks rather flat at this moment, otherwise it looks technically perfect." - Florent Courty

Runner Up

"That's a great picture of an impressive sunset with very good composition and depth. My only regret is about how the light was handled, I guess a filter was used, but the ground is now a tad too clear in comparison with the sky and the rocks in the background became a bit too dark while this "tower" is a very important element there. Still, a very nice image which grabbed all my attention." - Florent Courty

Runner Up

"There is a strong fantastic feel perceptible in this image with those warm autumnal tones, foggy atmosphere, and wooden constructions, I appreciate a lot. I'm not sure of the composition though, the weeping willow framing the left was a good idea, but maybe his foliage takes too much space and the subjects are a bit too much down." - Florent Courty
