I took this photo while my husband and I were at Letchworth state park New York.Time
This was around 12:00pm there were at least a dozen people around us looking at this beautiful bird.Lighting
The sun was overhead so the blue against the bird made for a beautiful picture i think the dark feathers against the blue really brought out the strength these birds have.Equipment
I used a canon 50D to get this shot it was free hand because the bird was directly overhead and moving very fast.Inspiration
I've always loved getting shots of birds especially the eagle there so powerful and graceful when they fly.Editing
Yes I enhanced the shot then added a little highlight to bring out the sky a little more then sharpened it a little.In my camera bag
Right now i carry a canon 70D camera and a 18-135mm lens along with a 150mm-600mm lens i don't take a tripod because it takes to long to get it set up by the time do get it set up the subject is gone.Feedback
Keep your eyes open and be ready to catch your shot there's always great shots just waiting to be found but you have to be ready when they are.
