Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at my grandparents farm. Ever since I was a kid I loved exploring the farm and seeing what new things there were to discover. Now that I'm older and equipped with a camera, the adventures are even better.

Time

This photo was taken mid-morning. I love getting out before the sun gets too hot and while some plants still carry the dew.

Lighting

I'm just beginning to learn about manual mode on my camera. My advice for other beginners? Get out there and just play around with lighting until you figure it out.

Equipment

This shot was taken with my canon camera-a handy me down from my aunt who is an amazing photographer.

Inspiration

Again, I've always loved exploring my grandparents farm. Now I just have a handy camera to tag along.

Editing

Although some photographers are very talented at editing, this is a talent that I do not have. Because of this, I have always strived to get my best possible shot naturally.

In my camera bag

Extra memory cards! I always seem to need more room for photos.

Feedback

My aunt once told me that a class she was taking gave her the advice to really look at her shot before taking it, not just clicking away and hoping for a good shot. I always keep that advice on mind and it has really improved my photography.
