Stunning, beautiful, thought-provoking and a photo that provides a gazillion feelings every time you look at it. We humans are so tiny against nature yet we choose to keep destroying it - it's about time we started to realise that it won't be long before we've ruined it forever! A stunning shot.

Well said Tim, thank goodness for photography... Capturing nature's beauty helps to create awareness which in time may help save it... hank you for your kind message and support. Much appreciated!

Excellent capture of this wonderful place with beautiful light, composition and perspective, Celine. You found the very nice location. I drove down this Perce Rock long time ago with my family from New Jersey. We could walk to the rock when it was low tide.

Location
The photo was taken in Percé, Québec Canada. This is a huge sheer rock formation in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence on the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula in Quebec, Canada. it is called "Le rocher Percé" it translates to Percé Rock. It is one of the world's largest natural arches located in water and is considered a geologically and historically rich natural icon of Quebec.Time
It was late afternoon, maybe after 4 pm. Sorry don't have precise time of the shootLighting
I just liked that the sun was giving me more detail to the rockEquipment
My camera is a Nikon D90 the lens was my 18-200 no tripod, no flash UV filter only.Inspiration
I spent a week in the area and it rained most of the time. The one day when the sun came out I was inspired by the beauty of the rock in all its splendour. It was like seeing it for the first time.Editing
Very little post processing, added clarity and a little contrast. In my camera bag
I carry knee pads, a reflector, a 50mm lens, a 80mm lens and a 70-300 lens, lots of memory cards. I keep it simple. Still learning...Feedback
I'm still learning so much on the technical aspect... The only advice I can give is to be curious and adventurous, there are so many discoveries out there yet to be photographed.
