Excellent! I am sure it was difficult to decide on how tight and what dimension to use. So glad I could give you a "positive" direction! Keep up the great work!
Cheers! David.

The color of the pear looks almost like if it's taken from a painting. Well done!

Location
This photo was taken in my kitchen on my island.Time
It was probably around 11 a.m.Lighting
I much prefer to shoot in natural light and my kitchen (dining and living room are open concept) is just perfect for that. I've got lots of windows bringing in indirect natural light to the granite island.Equipment
I used my Nikon D90, my 18-200 lens, my tripod, my remote release, a reflector and that's it!Inspiration
It was early on a Saturday morning, my husband had just came back from a quick grocery shopping. As I was putting everything away I noticed this pear... I asked him if he had picked the pears with attention and he responded "no, I just grabbed and put in the bag". Well I said: as I was showing him the pear, "doesn't this remind you of something?" He looked and we both said "a woman's silhouette from behind!". We laughed and I couldn't wait to finish putting everything away so I could have fun photographing the pear. Cleared the island and transformed the kitchen into a photo studio. Used tooth picks to help hold the pear in place. Such fun for hours...Editing
Yes, always do a little post processing with Lightroom adjusting the clarity, contrast and a little vignette. In my camera bag
I like to go light and figure out the type of photography I'm going to do before I go. I've got equipment scenarios for macro, portrait, landscape and zoom so depending on the style of shoot I bring the equipment accordingly.Feedback
Since this experience with the pear I'm really paying attention when I shop to notice and look for interesting shapes in produce. It is surprising and fun to discover oddities. It perks my creativity!
