This valley is home to a number of raptors, including both bald and golden eagle, osprey and numerous varieties of hawks. In addition to being a dedicated wildlife wetland, there is also extensive farming in the valley, making food plentiful for these magnificent birds. Golden eagles take 5-6 years to attain maturity.
