My favorite in this competition. But then again, I am partial to Red-eyed Tree Frogs. :)

Magnificent shot. Love the incredible detail, the colors, and the shallow depth-of-field.

Location
This image was taken in a controlled environment of rare breeds, in a studio, designed and sympathetically set up to meet the special needs of the little critters.Time
It was taken at approximately 10.00am in the morningLighting
Because the Red Eyed Tree Frog is a very sensitive species, low lighting was given. No flash, as it would damage the tiny retinas of the Frog's eyes. So a higher ISO was used instead, to let more light in.Equipment
A Canon 7D DSLR camera was used, with a special macro lens - Sigma 105mm f2.8, on a tripod.Inspiration
I have an avid interest in Tree Frogs, with the delicacy and beautiful colour markings, and have wanted to take images of them for a number of years. The opportunity arose so I jumped at the chance to be able to take the images!Editing
I tend to try to get as much as possible, correct in-camera, so that minimal processing is done. Basically, I converted the image from RAW to Jpeg, used levels and curves, and then slight clarity, using Photoshop. In my camera bag
All sorts! You name it, I've got it! Half of which I don't use, which may have been bought on impulse!Feedback
Just make sure that the needs of any animals or critters are met - foremost and paramount before taking any photographs of them......
