Location
In an area called Aspen Alley in south-central Wyoming.Time
Shot was taken mid-morning, About 10:00 AM.Lighting
Partly cloudy sky. Just waited for one to pass over.Equipment
Canon 60D, Quantiray 70 x 300 lens at 70, Hand held. Aperture- 7.1. 1/200sec, ISO - 100Inspiration
I have been to this area many times and was just trying different angles. It's actually hard to shoot this place badly.Editing
I adjusted the contrast just a bit and slightly lessened the exposure. Then just added a soft vignette. In my camera bag
Doing mostly landscapes, I don't carry a lot. The Canon 60D, lenses 50mm and 18 x 55, both Canon, the Quantaray 70 x 300 which doubles as my Macro lens, circular polarizers for all 3, Neutral density filters for the telephoto and 18 x 55.Feedback
I pretty much work with the theory that composing the shot is 80% of the image. With the editing software available today, you can fix just about anything else if your parameters are within a decent range. Of course, after plenty of practice, you'll have less and less you need to fix with the software.
