Location
This photo was taken at Beluga Lake, Homer, AlaskaTime
This shot was taken very early in the morning around I think between 5.00 and 5.30am. I was actually out early trying to photograph any wildlife particularly moose that I could find around the lake and as I came around a corner this view was before me but as there was no parking in the vicinity I had to find a parking spot and run back to the lake before the colour was lost. No wildlife was found that morning but I was more than happy with the sunrise result.Lighting
I think the photo speaks for itself regarding lighting.Equipment
I was using a Canon 70D camera with a EF70-300mm f4-5.6L IS USM lens. No tripod was used, I was in too much of a rush to back to the spot to take the shot and left the tripod in the car.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this shot by the mist over the lake and the lighting from the sunrise.Editing
I am not much good with post processing so just auto balanced. In my camera bag
I normally carry two camera bodies, Canon 70D and Canon 80D together with Canon EF100-400mm 4.5-5.6L IS USM lens, Canon 15-85mm IS ultrasonic lens and Canon macro Lens EF 100mm2.8L IS USM lens..Feedback
Don't sleep in, get out and about you never know what is out there to photograph even if what you intended to take is not there something else may be.
