Nice composition. When I first saw it, it reminded me of the album cover of David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.

I don't want to be in this alley, but I'm very glad that you were and could share it with us. Great shot and awesome composition.

Thank you so much. I don't think anyone would like to be there. I do take some risks :-)

I love the shopping cart... tells so much of the inhabitants of the area...

Location
This photo was taken in a run down area in west Edinburgh.Time
This was taken around 6pm in the evening.Lighting
I loved the sodium lighting from the street lamps and the way that it highlighted and reflected the running water from the overflow coming from the building.Equipment
This was taken with my small Canon Powershot. I did rest the camera on a wall for support. No flash, no tripod. Just the camera.Inspiration
The lighting and the reflection of that light in the water from the overflow. The shopping trolley added to the run down atmosphere.Editing
Enhanced the saturation slightly. In my camera bag
I only carry extra batteries and memory cards at the moment.Feedback
Always look at your surroundings. When you feel there is a photo, there usually is.
