Location

the streets of Miami This was the first e formula race in the united states of two. The other race was in Los Angeles. I was following the Andretti Team These electric formula cars are fast and the only sounds you hear is the shifting and the tires.

Available lighting was all we had in this event

Equipment

Nikon D800 with a 70-200 nikon 2.8, Nikon D7100 with a 600mm and a 15mm for wide shots.

Inspiration

I was in the infield where only photographers could be shooting through a hole in the fence. This is not an easy place to get the best shots you have to look for them. this angle was a good one for the formula cars coming at you and many in the background

Editing

all of my work is shot in RAW and needs retouching. I use Photoshop when looking for black & white you need to have good contrast, lighting, and solid blacks

I have 3 bags. 1 small bag for quick grab and not looking to shoot unless i find something 2 body,3-4 lenses flash 3 2 bodies, 4-5 lenses flash, batts, cards,

shoot shoot shoot, since you on digital and not film. shoot as much as you can and try to remember why and how you did shoot. experiment with settings and angles. look for the best lighting angles
