I favorited the BW version before I saw this color shot. The color shot is much better in my opinion and I thought the BW version was perfect. :)

Location
The photo was taken at a hotels function room and shows my daughter Belinda on her graduation day.Time
It was at dinner time.Lighting
I used a Canon 580 speedlite flash mounted on the cameras hot shoe.Equipment
I used a Canon 5D Mark II, lens used was a 100 mm macro lens. No tripod was used.Inspiration
My daughter was not happy with some her her friends attitude and looked sad and dissapointed. I managed to capture her mood and thought that this picture would be a forgetable one considering the occasion.Editing
It got my attention again when I learned in photoshop how to screen one picture on top of the other for art effects. I than tried this with the window with the water drops on it and found that it enhenced the mood.In my camera bag
My favorite lens is the Canon Macro 100mm, the quality and details are amazing, not only for macro shots. When I go out I love to bring the 24 - 105 canon zoom for flexibility and the 100mm macro lens.Feedback
Sometimes we take pictures and think that they are not great, only to find out later that they can be turned into great ones. So I suggest not to delete shots in a hurry but to file them for later use. I often dig in past files only to rediscover some useable ones.
