It was a lovely dewy morning so out I went with my camera 'web' hunting ... I found this stunning web on a dead branch in our orange tree. I couldn't believe how perfect it was! Many photos were taken - this was the first!Time
The sun was just peeping over our hill, around 6am. Cold and chilly, still in my dressing gown! One bonus of being on a remote farm ;)Lighting
The diffused and reflected sunlight seeping through the leaves gave the scene quite an ethereal atmosphere ...I love having a photo hunt early because of the unreal shots I sometimes get!Equipment
I had with me just my canon EOS 700D with a canon macro EFS 60mm lens fitted. I use no other gear as I like to hunt 'light' ...Inspiration
The web drew me in :) ..I love early morning light reflected through dew drops, it can make an image seem super sharp and clear, and bokeh is amazing!Editing
I just straightened, cropped and balanced the colours and light. It was all there - just needed a 'touch' of adjustment. In my camera bag
When I am doing 'in the field' nature shots I have with me just my canon EOS 700D with a canon macro EFS 60mm lens fitted. I use no other gear as I like to hunt 'light'. For 'off farm' shoots I have my Canon EOS 700D, Canon EFS Macro 60mm, Canon EFS 18-55mm lens, Canon EFS 55-250mm lens, a thin voil hood for the in camera flash, a piece of foil to reflect the light, a small water filled spray bottle, small snips, spare battery and a cleaning kit. Notebook and pen.I will sometimes take my Takara tripod but more often I just lean on something or sit down to hold the camera steady. I use a tripod mainly for indoor or special set up shots.Feedback
Just the usual advice - get out there - try everything a million times :) doing is learning! Time for the best light!
