This is so beautiful, and near to my heart... I have twin daughters, twin sons as well... Even portraits of twins are magical and special!

Now this is a beautiful portrait. Absolutely beautiful. I stared at this for about twenty minutes. Well Done.

Location
I was taking photos of this twin when a woman from the neighbourhood came up to us and told us there was an old and decayed shed nearby. The roof of the shed had open spots and beautiful light was coming through it. So I placed the girls in the light and started to photograph.Time
It was in the afternoon of a great summer day. We had been shooting for a few hours already so we were a bit tired, but when we saw the shed and the great sunlight coming in we got a boost and got shooting again.Lighting
The natural and soft light coming through the roof and the gorgeous faces of these girls gives the photo something angelic, I think.Equipment
I used my first DSLR, a Nikon D90. The lens I used was my Nikon 50 mm 1.8. I love that lens!Inspiration
The twin girls were students at the school I work at. I asked them one time if they wanted to pose for me. I thought it would be great if I was able to photograph them in a way that the viewer would see their inner en outer beauty the way I saw it. At that time I wasn't that experienced in taking porttraits so it was a challenge for me to make it work. Luckily the girls were fun (as i was expecting) and we got along great. The vibe was really good.Editing
In Photoshop I removed some skin imperfections and I gave the overall picture a softer feel than it already had.In my camera bag
I don't use the Nikon D90 anymore, I now have a Nikon D750. A full frame one and what a great camera it is! Besides that I always have my Nikon 50mm 1.8 with me and my Nikon 80-400 mm. I also have a 105 mm micro lens, but it's a long time ago I used it. I should dust it off and use it again soon. Because it always surprises me how much detail you see and it makes me feel like a kid exploring the world. And that's a great feeling!Feedback
It always helps if you already know the people you're going to take photos of, but even then it takes about ten to fifteen minutes to get them relaxed and to get into a 'flow'. At least that is how it works for me. If you're not photographing for an assignment and are free to do what you want don't stick to much to the ideas you had in advance. Keep your mind open for everything that surrounds you and probably you will go home with photos you didn't expect to make but who are really great.
