People's Choice
Grand Jury Winner

"Aside from just being a sweet image, this one stood out compositionally from the others. The main subject is right in the center which is usually a no-no, but since we are so close up, and we have the symmetry of the parents on either side, it works as a strong image. Also I like how it optimizes “Family Love”, this is a little baby getting kisses with a scrunched up face, likely the same one this baby would make as a teenager if these parents tried to recreate this then.  Family Love is complicated and can be messy, there may be scrunched up noses at times, but in the end your family is what comes first." - Sarah Petty

Runner Up

"Great bokeh in this image, love the color harmony of the muted tones as well. We so often see images of older siblings comforting a younger one, but I loved to see the reversal of this big brother looking intently at his baby brother. Their reverence for one other is so clear, and compassion is an unmatched quality in a person." - Sarah Petty

Runner Up

"Sometimes an image just makes you say “awwww” and when the contest theme is Family Love, that can be enough! This sweet image is also impressive to anyone who has tried to get a touching portrait of a newborn with an older sibling. It’s usually one of the greatest portrait challenges! Also a nice “grayscale” muted black and white image." - Sarah Petty

Honorary Mention

"Genuine is how I would describe this image. Their laughter, their friendship, the slightly messy hair of the girl. It could almost be a documentary photograph." - Sarah Petty
