Fantastic! Love the fog, the canal virtually parallel with right border of frame, converging lines, repeated patterns, good contrast, distinct reflections. Black & White is pleasing effect. :-)

I like very much the framing in this B&W composition with a very beautiful range of grays. I underline the misterious atmosphere that the mist gives it. Excellent work.

Location
'De Dommel'is a river/stream that runs through the south of The Netherlands and Belgium. It runs through a beautiful landscape. It's very nice to walk and to bike there. You can also canoe on 'De Dommel'.Time
At the end of a foggy morning after a very refreshing walk.Lighting
The fog and the diffuse light make this a very atmospheric photo. Everything is evenly lit so that's why you get all these soft (grey)tones.Equipment
My Nikon D90 and my Nikon 18-200 lens. At 18 I shot this photo to get the widest angle I could.Inspiration
My eye cought all the textures of the different trees and of course the reflection of them in the water. How could I not take this picture? It's always great to show others the beauty of nature.Editing
I converted it to black and white and I wanted a little bit more contrast. But I knew I had to be careful with that, because I was afraid to lose the softness of the picture. In my camera bag
Recently I bought a Nikon D750 body. What an upgrade (before I had a D90)! Very happy with that. And I bought a 24-120 lens too. Didn't use it much, yet. I have a 80-400 lens, a Macro (105 mm) and last but not least a 50 mm/1.8 lens.Feedback
It's simple and very cliché but the best tool to make a great photo are your eyes. Be very conscious of your surroundings and try to see the beauty in everything. It may be so that you don't come home with a lot of nice pictures, but I'm sure you had a great time. :-)
