I took this photo in the Tiergarten of Berlin, an area where I spent so much more time because all the travel restrictions.Time
I took this photo in the let afternoonLighting
I took this photo with :Aperture f/5?ISO 2500?Shutter 1/125?Focal Length 200/1? The ISO was quite high, because I did not bring a tripodEquipment
I used a Nikon D 5 with a Nikon 200mm micro lens. I love that lens. It allows you to take macro shots without getting too close. It is a perfect lens for going on a walk without shlepping to much equipment. One has a 200 mm lens and a macro lens at the same timInspiration
Well, due to the pandemic I have not been able to travel as much. That had the advantage that I took the time to explore my neighborhood more than I usually do. I walked a lot through the city and the parks and enjoyed watching those colorful ducks.Editing
I do not do much post-processing. Here I did a little cropping. In my camera bag
That varies a lot. I do not like zoom lenses and therefore take usually one specific lens. 600 mm for cranes and wildlife in Africa, macro for walks in the summer. One can always find a dragon fly, when one keeps looking for them For street photography my monochrome Leica.Feedback
If you cannot travel, walk around in your neighborhood. You will most of the time find something interesting that is worth having its picture taken. Sometimes it is even worthwhile to go to the same location several times. The light could be different, the animals behave differently, you might be in a different mood and see things differently. Love and light make you take a good photo.
