Location
I took this photo at the top of Mt. Karvounis in Samos island, Greece. It's been builded on an altitude of 1150 meters.Time
About an hour after midnight.Lighting
I used only a flashlight in order to light up the chappel.Equipment
I used my fujifilm xt-1 camera with the fujinon xf 14mm f2.8 lense and my manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
The chappel itself is a very beautiful building at the top of the mountain. It's the only building over there. The Milky Way was just above the chappel and that gave me the idea to capture it . The cross also was something that impressed me because of the rust that was falling from the edges.Editing
Yes I did, the picture is actually two frames and that is because I wanted to set the galaxy at the middle of the chappel so I had to take a photo of the galaxy from anothe angle. I blended in Photoshop later. In my camera bag
My camera with a 14mm to 200mm range lenses and my tripod.Feedback
Night photography and astrophotography demand sometimes many kilometers away from home just to find a light pollution free area. Well, in my opinion this is the most difficult part. After that we just have to shoot the sky:):)
