Behind The Lens

Location

Took that shot from inside the cave of Mpallos beach in Konteika village, Samos island, Greece.

Time

Late at night, approx. 02:00 am.

Lighting

It was quite dark into the cave so I thought of bring some light with me just to get a little bit of cave's interrior.

Equipment

My Nikon D610 and Tokina 16-28 f2.8 at 2.8 of course to get as much light as I could. And my Manfrotto tripod of course:)

Inspiration

Oh I like caves, so when I found out that there was a cave like this on the island couldn;t resist to take some pics from inside. Especially with the Milky way inside the frame.

Editing

Yes of course I did some post - processing. First of all this is a composition of two frame, one of the foreground and one of the sky even if the sky was shot nearby the cave. For the foreground I lift up the shadows and gave some clarity to boost the rocks and the sand. For the sky I stacked somewhere about 10 pics to reduce the noise and after that I gave some light in the core and some colour too. Finally I composed the two of them into one:)

In my camera bag

Just what I need and nothing more:)

Feedback

Go out there and take pics:):):)
