Behind The Lens

Location

I took this foto in Samos island, Greece. Samos is located in Northeast of Aegean sea.

Time

Well, at night of course:):):) In order to take pictures of Milky Way there is no other time available:)

Lighting

I had in my mind a scenario with me holding a light on the rocks. I knew already the location, so I went there and stood still with my flashlight.

Equipment

Tripod is a must have, wenn someone wants the Milky Way to photograph. My camera with my 14mm (crop sensor) lens and a flashlight also were necessary equipment.

Inspiration

I have seen many fotos in Internet with people holding a flashlight underneath the Milky Way. So i decided it was time for me also something like that to trie.

Editing

Milky needs post-processing definitely. In order to make the Galaxy more obvious man must few things do. I used foto programs such as Lr and Ps to do that. Foreground ist of course easier to handle. Sky needs man to pay attention not viel post-processing to do, but that's only my opinion. The truth is that i want to keep a balance in my fotos.

In my camera bag

I try to have everything i can with me. Many times i have needed something that wasn't necessary in beginning. For me is better more things to carry than to not having with me when i really need them.

Feedback

Taking fotos of Milky Way is not easy. Man must somewhere far from city lights go to have a good result and of course that must be done at night and many times when cold is outside. So, be patient and go out there:)
