Took this shot during trekking Mt Karvounis in Samos island, Greece. It was a cold winter foggy day. I saw this small "lake" of water by the road and stopped to take a picture. What I really loved was the rock in the middle of water which gave me the sense it was the heart that was giving the pace to the forest.

Location
I took this photo on Mt Karvounis in Samos island, Aegean Sea, Greece. It's the second-highest Mt on the island after the first which is Mt. Kerkis. During the winter period it's mostly covered in fog something that always gives me the chance to visit it.Time
It's actually one hour before sunset maybe little less.Lighting
As I arrived to the spot I saw the whole place into fog with and the light was beginning to fade.Equipment
I used my Nikon D610 camera with a Tokina 16-28 fx lense f2.8.Inspiration
This place is one of my all time favorites. I have also taken photos of the place and othe periods but that day was something special about the spot, the light, the fog, the water, the calmness and my feelings about the forest.Editing
I realy edited this image a little bit. A bit of shadows, clarity and lights in Lightroom was enough to give me this result. In my camera bag
I try always to have my two cameras with me with four lenses, wide angle, a 21mm, a 50mm and a 80-200 zoom. Also I have with me my tripod, a Manfrotto xpro 3 wich is heavy but very steady. In the end some filters for long exposure shots are always in my bag.Feedback
When I discover places that I find very impressive I am trying to imagine them how they would like with fog or with rain or even at night if I want to take astrophotos. Then when the weather is what I was thinking about I am going back there and taking some shots.
