Location
This photo was taken In my own backyard. Teddy was running around and finally stop long enough for his shot. He is very photogenic.Time
I remember this shot in June of 2016 and in the afternoon about 6:30 PM. Summer time in Texas in June is already hot and Teddy was already feeling it and had to take a break which gave me the chance of capturing his gorgeous look.Lighting
Nothing special about the light other than it being natural evening sun. It was still pretty bright but was able to use the shade from the porch to diffuse the light to my advantage.Equipment
My camera at the time was my Canon 7D MK II, lens was Canon EF 100-400 mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM. Kept it simple and no other equipment was necessary. Teddy doesn't give me much time and I take the shot when I can and make the most of it.Inspiration
Teddy is all the inspiration I need with his looks and faces he makes. Jowels and ears flopping around while he is running make other great shots.Editing
Once in awhile I consider that I get lucky and get the shot without any needed post-processing. This is one I liked coming straight out of camera. So no processing necessary except for cropping. In my camera bag
My camera bag consist of my newest camera now the Canon 5D MK IV, Canon 600 EX RT II speedlight, Canon 85mm 1.4L IS USM lens, Canon 100mm 2.8L IS USM lens, Canon 24-105mm f4L IS USM lens, Extra batteries and storage cards.Feedback
If you have a pet in the family like Teddy, he will keep you on your toes. I generally have my camera by my side and feel somewhat prepared. If I know Teddy is going to be my subject I have my camera set to be quick because Teddy won't wait for me.
