This is a photo I had taken a while back as I was still learning to play with a fairly new camera at the time, at least for me. I utilized my patio a lot during this time in capturing a lot of bird photos.Time
This is one of those photos that stood out from a lot of the other many bird photos I took on a beautiful afternoon at about 2:00 PM.Lighting
Not much to talk about as far lighting goes as this was shot with natural light. It was a gorgeous day with the sun out and the dove in the shade of trees.Equipment
This was shot with my Canon 7D MK II and a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4-5.6L IS USM lens. This was handheld and no other equipment was needed.Inspiration
Not must inspiration was needed as I was really into bird photos and plenty of birds I had. With multiple bird feeders in the backyard, I had more than plenty of birds to keep me busy and learn as best as I could to master my skills and still learning.Editing
This is straight out of camera except I ran it through an HDR software and cropped in.In my camera bag
I like to pack lightly so will certainly carry my camera which at the time of this shot was a Canon 7D MK II. Now my camera is the Canon EOS R. I will most likely carry at least a couple of lens and mostly it will be my Canon EF24-70mm f/2.8L II USM and my Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM. Extra batteries and an extra memory card. An external flash just in case.Feedback
Patience with birds is something you will need to learn.because a lot of birds don't seem to like to have their photos taken. Now White winged doves are kind of slow and much easier at taken photos of. Plenty of bird feeders in the backyard and trees will attract birds so just sit and enjoy the wondrous nature of wildlife.
