Location
The picture was taken i the Grand Canyon, down on the Colorado river, on a stop we made in a cave in the north side of the walley.Time
Time was about early afternoon.Lighting
Natural lightning, but the stone color made everything appear in a soft yellow colour.Equipment
All takes was done with a Canon T70 with different brands of dias film.Inspiration
This was the trip of my lifetime, 7 days on the Colorado river throug Grand Canyon in a rubber boat you do only once! It had to be properly documented!Editing
All pictures was, after storing the pictures for 28years, scanned in, and I had to do some sharpening and colour correction. Some pictures was beyone repair, an regarded as lost. I took about 300 pictures during the travel. In my camera bag
All I brought with me was the T70 camera with a 55mm lens, due to weight limits. I used my T-shirt to dry off splashes from the river. During white water passings, the camera was put in a waterproof box, together with a few spare batteries.Feedback
If you go on a river like this, the waterproof box is a must, also the day-to-day planning to see when you have to keep it closet. I missed with a few seconds, and had no camera in two days during drying the camera in the sun. Luckily I got it back to work. Exercise at home: find a kamera which can take some water (a waterproof camera is the best). We had 238 rapids of different size, truly an exercise for lifetime (our silver wedding combined with our National Day!). The raft weight 5,5tons, we were 16 peoples al in all, carried food for one week.
