Location
The foto was taken at a nearby sea, Skrukkelisjøen, in the northern end.Time
The picture was taken 20:41:43, the sun was close to the horizon. It was in 2018, the month Septembre, an the day the fifth.Lighting
The golden light was due to a sun passing the horizon. The sun was setting just at the end of the sea, with clear distance to the island.Equipment
Handhold Canon EOS 7D, with a Tamrom 18-40mm f/3,5-6,3 Di2 Vc HLD.The setting was f/6,3 shutter 1/800 focal lenght 138/1. No tripod, no flash.Inspiration
I used to go to the Skrukkeli sea (Norwegian: Skrukkelisjøen) at regular times, 2-3 times a week, I used to watch 5-6 points which gave me info on how the area changed during the year, light, water, water fall (in the end), plants aso. We were several photographers visiting the same point, exchanging impressions with each other on Facebook.Editing
The picture is cropped, and the exposure is lifted slightly (you might notice the picture was exposed at a shutter speed 1/800, which was a little to high for the situation, not good for the aperture, but fine for the sharpness in a stressed situation.).In my camera bag
Not more than the listed equipment, and the tripod, in this case left in the car (Quite normal)!Feedback
Patience is an important factor. Watch the subject, take numerous pictures. Strange things can happen when the sun is low and a cloud is near. If you work without a tripod, find a tree or similar to rest your body against, reducing shivering. Do not fight with the bugs, take precautions!
