The photo was taken in my back garden early in the day. The insects was fighting for the best places on the flowers!Time
We usually sit in the garden living room eating breafast. Only a glass wall and a door is separating us from the life in the garden. My camera is allways there, making it possible to pop out of the door, making the shots of of the day!Lighting
A low sun, completed with the reflecting light from the glass walls greates a nearly shadow free environment for the shots.Equipment
I used a handheld Canon EOS 7D with a Tamrom zoom lens 18-400mm, f/3,5-6,3. No flash for this take.Inspiration
Inspired? The insects, the flowers, my wife..................Editing
On this picture? Only some cropping, about 30% of the original photo was removed. In my camera bag
The shot is done at my home base, no need to bring the camera bag, But in addition to the Canon EOS 7D I allso have a 6D Mar II with a Canon 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS. The last one have no macro function, an is not so suitable for those kind of pictures.Feedback
On a sunny day: Find a good spot with lots of flowers, find a good seat, take a cup of coffe. The insects will soon find you, but luckily they are more interested in the flowers than in you, and you can easely sneak in on them to make good picture.
