Location
We, a group from Norway, was out walking in the mountains of Austria, and found this building close to our pick-up point. The area was an old mining area, and the building had been a part of that. The position is west of the mountain city Badgastein.Time
It was early afternoon, pick-up were scheeduled to 1600 local time.Lighting
Natural lighting, the sky was grey (no sun).Equipment
I used just a handheld camera, a Canon EOS 500D with a light zoom lens, could not carry to much on a walking trip in the mountains.Inspiration
I have always been fascinated by ruins and dilapidated houses, the history that hides behind them. In this case, the building was a part of the mining area, and mining I find very interesting (I have been rewarded for my interest, a mineral, Folvikite, is named after mee).Editing
A little cropping and increasing contrast, due to foggy conditions (it was vraining most of the day)In my camera bag
I usually (When I can take a lot with me I carry a camera house and a couple of lenses, varying type, Some cleaning eq., a dry towel.Feedback
When you move into an area, red all you can about the history. If you have special interests, see if you can combine them with your photos. Be open!
