Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken deep into the forrest, an area with a lot of lakes in different shapes, on the outside of Oslo, Norway.Time
The picture was taken early in the afternoon, while the light was strong. The temperature was close to 0 deg.C.Lighting
It was overcast with some fog when I took the picture. I think the sun (buried behind clouds and fog) was just behind the biggest tree!Equipment
This picture was taken long time before the electonic cameras came on the market. I used a Canon T70, with a Canon zoom lens FD 35-70mm 1:3,5-4.5. I supported the camera with a ski pole. The picture was recorded on a color Dias film, of the brand Fuchicrome..Inspiration
The light and the nature, this was a true black and white motiv, but recorded on a color film. About 20 years before recording I used to live out in this forrest year along, and this area was a favorite. Looking at the picture recalls the memory of a fine time in my life.Editing
After about 35 years the dias was scanned, a little focusing and increased contrast. The size is kept to the original, unless a small adjustment to strighten up the edges. In my camera bag
This trip included a long walk into the forrest, and the described camera was all I had in my bag!Feedback
Take good care of situations like this, use the camera in manual mode, and watch the contrast. If you stay on an icy see, take care of thin ice!
