Behind The Lens

Location

A late afternoon at the cabin in Finnskogen, Norway. Just arrived, fire was lit in the fireplace, but still just +1-3C inside.

Time

Late afternoon, outside temp +1C.

Lighting

No electrical light at the cabin, only the candle light and some backup with 12VDC.

Equipment

An old Canon EOS 500D was used. Hand held, but supported against the ladder up to the bedroom upstairs. No other light than the candles. A Tamron lens, 18-200mm was letting in enugh programmed (by nature!) light to let the fun begin.

Inspiration

The colours, the special light from the candles, the love to the cabin and the area surrounding!

Editing

Some correction of the fysical balance(rotation), an some cropping. Some easy sharpening was also applied.

In my camera bag

At the time the picture was taken, I just cared about the camera, the lens (both as mentioned!) together with a spare battery and some cleaning stuff. I have a couple of old, analog films (dias) left in the bag, can't bear to get rid of them :).

Feedback

Just buy yourself a cabin, and wait for the correct time of the year. And of course you have to be in the sub-artic areas of the world, with rigid changes in the weather arund zero will occour.
