Location
The photo was taken at my favorite location, Lake Skrukkelisjoen in Hurdal, my home place. The altitude is only 330moh, and it is surrounded by steep hills covered with trees. The lake was completely calm, some heat exchange in the water surface made it appear greyish.Time
This is a typical november shot, taken 9th of november 2021 at 14:18:10. Exactly. The temperature was (appr.) +2C, close to ice on the water (I was up there by sunset the day after, an there were a thin crust of ice).Lighting
The area was covered by a variable layer of fog, the sun was (according to time) just below the rim of the surrounding hills. I think the picture lost some sharpness due to all the water droplets in the air.Equipment
My Canon EOS 6D Mark II with the Canon zoom EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS III USM. No tripod, a tree branch served as support. Settings was ISO125 200mm f/6.3 1/25sec. Took multiple exposures of the motive.Inspiration

I normaly dont carry a bag of equipment - I grab the camera and lens I feel is the correct for the weather and the job I plan to do. My tripods are allways in the car, but mostly I use local trees to support the camera. In my pockets I carry various equipment for keeping the gear clean, to dry off water in case of a shower, or splashing from a water fall.Feedback
Time of year is important. Follow weather forecast, talk to locals to find good spots. Wisit the place every day in that periode, and you will find moments you can enjoy all winter through; working on the pictures you took in a short, excited moment of time!
