I gathered this image of Riomaggiore from the
walkway between the five cities. It was my first view of this beautiful village and I stood there for a while before reaching for my camera.
The white church on the left side of the image is The Church of San Giovanni Battista.
The church was built in 1340 but in 1870 the facade was rebuilt in a Neo-Gothic style. The Gothic doors on the right side, the rose window, the wooden crucifix and the organ from 1851 are all well worth seeing.
