Just before sunrise rainy day.Lighting
side lighting of sunrise helped bring out the cathredral patterns of the sandstone. the low light gave 10 sec exposure help with cloud movement and car light trail.Equipment
Nikon D7200, tokina 11-16mm, vanguard carbon fiber tripod with ball head.Inspiration
i been looking at Instagram for good locations in sydney for car trail or night shots. i seen very nice shot of the cathedral and remembered there is good spot to get the street and cathedral in 1 shot.. ended up going early morning before class was raining at the time and not much room between street and garden wall. turned out how i imagined it would love to try with different lighting.Editing
yes i did the basc processing getting everything right in LR before moving it over to PS where i fixed up the levels i then in nick's software Color Efex 4 helped the cathedral textures pop with detail extractor creating layer mask afterwards to mask in the details in certain areas i wanted it to pop.. finished using silver Efex pro 2 ...In my camera bag
my ultra wide tokina 11-16mm and the go to lens Tamron 16-300mm, Nikon D7200 micro fiber cloths spare battery, small gorilla grip tripod and any snacks water for the day.Feedback
get Low and dirty you be surprised how much difference it makes when trying something creative. check out instagram of the locations you frequent you might see something you like and want to check it out. scout it out and use phone camera for few different angles. check back when at home for future trip.
