Location
The photo was taken at Altona Beach, Vic.Time
Taken around 8.30 pm. Waited for the sun to fade in knee deep, freezing water for about 20 mins to get the light that I wanted.Lighting
I was prepared to wait as long as it took to get just the right light.Equipment
Canon 700D, tripod, remote shutter.Inspiration
Had seen this dinghy once before, at high tide, and thought how cool it would look. Waited 2 days for low tide at the right time of day.Editing
Not a lot of processing was needed. Adjusted some levels in LR 4, removed an ugly light from the horizon, vignette added. In my camera bag
Normally carry 24-105, 10-20 wide angle and 55-250 lenses. Always take the tripod if I'm going to be taking landscape/ seascapes.Feedback
If you see the shot in your head, plan, research and be prepared to wait for the right moment.
