Congratulations on a well deserved win. I wish I had more votes to have given - among all the staged phony and overly post-produced entries this stood out for it's genuine heart and says more about the enjoyment of coffee than a million little roasted beans ever could. I love it !!!

Location
This photo was taken in a cafe at Emerald in Victoria.Time
It was mid afternoon in Spring. The sun was behind clouds but still bright through the window.Lighting
The gentleman was sitting at a large window that was facing the sun. It seemed to be singling him out of the surroundings. He must have known the best position for reading his newspaper.Equipment
Canon 700d with a Canon 50 mm 1.8. The light through the window was just right so, no other equipment necessary.Inspiration
I saw the shot immediately and knew that it would look best in B&W. The scene just looked like a story.Editing
Just minor changes to levels and the conversion to B&W.In my camera bag
Way too much stuff in my bag. I rarely use most of it.Feedback
Always be on the lookout for great natural lighting.
