Location
This photo was taken outside my home on my front lawn.Time
It was around 7am, a beautiful summers morning. I was heading out to work i noticed the fresh dew on the grass and took the opportunity to grab the shot. It was not until i uploaded it onto my laptop that night did i realise how good it had come out.Lighting
The sun was fully risen and it was striking the grass from behind me so there was no glare.Equipment
Shot with my Nikon d3100 and 50mm f1.8 G lens, handheld.Inspiration
It was a pure chance that i got this photo, often the best photos are the unexpected ones. I love how you can create bokeh with natural sunlight especially when its combined with water, in this case droplets of dew.Editing
I shot this image in RAW so i edited the white balance, contrast and a small bit of colour boosting to bring out the greens and yellows and make the photo really pop.In my camera bag
I normally carry my 50mm lens plus my kit lens with a shutter release cable, spare memory card and a tripod.Feedback
Keep an open mind, always look for things that you think might look well as a macro shot or a normal shot. Have your camera nearby if at all possible to capture one of those surprise shots. And don't be afraid to kneel down in your soaking front lawn at 7am in the morning to get a great shot!
