Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my studio in Jihlava (CZ). I had the entire image in my head and shoot itself took only 15 minutes.

Time

It was Saturday morning. It took about two hours to prepare wraith to our make-up artist. Me an model - we were looking for a doll meanwhile.

Lighting

I only used two studio lights with softbox on the left and on the right.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS 70D which I sold after that, because I wasn't really happy with dual focusing system. I used Sigma 30mm f/1.4 ART lens.

Inspiration

One day I woke up and I have had all this scene in my mind, so I decided to find some models and take this photo.

Editing

All image is composite of about 8 photos. I used one as a base, than wraith's head from another photo and 6 others to make flowing cloak. Than I have done some retouching and coloring.

In my camera bag

I always have my Canon 5D Mk II, Canon EF 85mm f/1.8, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and snack :) That's all I need :)

Feedback

You just need to have all the scene in your head before you start shooting. More details you can imagine will result in a better and more sophisticated image.
