Grand Canyon AZ. Featured in the Spotlight section of March 2015 issue of NPhoto Magazine.
We had spent the night on the canyon floor after hiking down from the North Rim the day before. We then hiked up from the canyon floor to the South Rim where this photo was taken. It had rained that night at Phantom Ranch on the canyon floor but our hike up the trail to the South Rim was dry. When we reached the top we did the tourist thing and went to all the lookouts and it is there as clouds were moving across the canyon that I got this shot. Just what I was hoping for sense I had a rather new camera and lens ;). I took this shot hand held sense I didn’t hike with a tripod at the time. Thank god for VR technology in the Nikon lens :).

Beautiful image Mark, the rain must have cleaned the sky up. Had nice clear weather last time there with some snow. Did not see Exif data so not sure how slow the shutter was on this handheld but looks great to me. Cheers Ron.
