The City of Denver invited citizens to donate old pianos to be placed on the street in the heart of downtown. The pianos were then given to various artists to decorate, and then randomly placed along the mile long, 16th Street Mall. Anyone was welcome to sit and play. Every day the dozen or so pianos attract a colorful variety of musicians, many of them displaying impressive talent including the one in this photo.

Great image and great story. Thanks for sharing! Just one question comes to mind, what do they do with the pianos, when it rains?

Thi is a great capture! They didn't have these the last time I was in Denver. Seems like it would be really hard to keep them in tune though. :-)
