I wanted to show Tunnel View, one of Yosemite's most iconic vantage points, in a drastically different light than had previously been shown by photographers. I took this approximately 10 minute exposure one evening when a traffic accident occurred on the road running through the valley and caused the valley to look as if it had caught fire. I see the passion of Yosemite's adventurers burning through the valley and leaving a lasting impact upon the stunning scenery that so many have come to deeply appreciate.
