This is the first time I have ever seen a Killdeer bird. The marshy area at McHenry Dam Park is quite low since the rain has been scarce the past 2 weeks. I spotted it in the muddy area of the marsh.

Great shot. In South Africa we have a similar bird called the Three-banded Plover (Charadrius Tricollaris) as opposed to the Killdeer Bird (Charadrius Vociferus).
