Springtime in Oregon means the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn - about 40 minutes south of Portland. I try to go annually - and depending on what day you go, you'll find blue skies, you'll find hail, you'll find driving winds and tearing rain, and sometimes all of the above within moments. Because it's spring. In Oregon. This is a simple tulip after one of those terrifying downpours. And yes, I had to lay in between the rows of flowers, in the mud, to shoot at this angle. Sometimes a girl has to get dirty to get the shot. :)
