This is my step daughter. After she graduated from high school a couple of years ago I flew her from her small town in NH to San Francisco, where we spent a few days being tourists before making our way north up the coast, through the Redwoods, and finally to my home in Portland. I love our summer road trips. On a whim, I had her pack her prom dress - and we had a fun session one day while people watched us, thinking we were crazy, as she ran on the beach, played in the surf, and jumped around for me. This is one of my favorites. I know it seems strange, with her other leg hidden by her dress, but I see that foot I think of the years and years she's been dancing (since she was 4). Crazy she's not a little kid anymore.
