I heard that there was a Mandarin Duck in Illinois and it turned out to be about an hour and a half away from me. I never ever thought I would see one in the wild. It was amazing. The Mandarin Duck was hanging out with some Mallard ducks and is very attached to a female Mallard. It swam beside the female the entire time and if they happened to get too far apart, the Mandarin Duck would speed up to get back to her side.
