Location
This Photo was taken at the Athabasca water falls with in the Jasper National ParkTime
Taken as the sun came over a distant mountain.Lighting
The lighting was all mother nature with the sun hoping out over a distant mountain and the mist from the water rushing over the fallsEquipment
I run with Nikon this time it was my Nikon D600 and 24-70 f2.8 at F16 ISO100 Exposure: 1/6 on a tripodInspiration
I have a thing for waterfalls and glass like water of lakes so when in Jasper National park I captured locations that included waterfalls and lakes.Editing
I use Light room and OneOne Photo to edit all of my photos I don't recall all of the steps but i believe I spend up some of the shadows and gave it a but of sharpeningIn my camera bag
I shoot Nikon and Pentax 6x7 medium format film. Nikon D600, Nikon D810 and 24-70 f2.8 70-200 f2.8 Tamron 15-30 f2.8 Nikon 50mm f1.8 and a Nikon 28-105 mm with macro Tripod Format Hi tech filters and a bunch of other goodiesFeedback
I use 50% of my process to fund my participation in an Optical mission to developing countries to dispense eyeglasses to those in need that can't afford them. This August I and a team of Opticians and Optometrist will be off to Lima Peru to test kids in the forest parts of town. This is my mission to mix my passions together and create a purpose to shoot great photos and help people become employable. My advice would be combine your passions in life and give your photography a purpose and it will show in all what you do Thanks for your support
