Thanks Helen, I just happen to see this as I was walking back to an airboat after taking another shot of trees along the bank which is also posted called Reflections.

Location
This was taken along the backwaters of the St. John River in the Canaveral Marshes Conservation Area just west of Port St. John, Florida and about halfway between Hwy 50 and Hwy 528.Time
We went out early in the morning to capture images with reflections, before any wind came up. This was captured at 7:24 in the morning on Feb 2, 2014.Lighting
Besides the still water in the early morning, there was also the possibility of fog and we were presented with both. The sun rose at about 7:10 on this morning but due to the thick fog it was not visible, so I had nice soft light for this image.Equipment
I used a Canon 5D MkII with EF24-105 Lens mounted on a Gitzo Tripod with a Really Right Stuff Ball Head. No filters were used for this shot. My settings were 35mm, 1/25 sec, f/11 and ISO 200.Inspiration
This looked rather unique to me and I really like the mood the fog added to the image. I had to get out of the Air Boat and walk down the bank a little ways so as not to disturb the flat water. The early morning foggy reflection of one fallen cypress created an amazing reflection of symmetry in the calm water You just never know what nature will present you with.Editing
Post processing was minimal, and I only used Lightroom. The main thing that I did was crop the image to a square. Other than that all I did adjust the white balance a bit, add some contrast and enabled the lens profile. In my camera bag
I usually carry my 5D MkII with the 24-105mm lens, but also have a 16-35mm and 70-200mm lens with me most of the time. I also carry a set of Lee Grad ND Filters, a two stop & three stop revers Grad ND, a .6 and .9 ND filter and a Circular Polarizer, however none of these filters were used.Feedback
First and foremost plan ahead and check the weather, then get up early! If you are looking for reflections on water you have to start early before the wind starts blowing. Also by checking the weather ahead of time you can get an idea of what kind of conditions you may have. As a rule of thumb I fall back on what I learned as a pilot concerning fog, if the temperature/dew point spread is 3 degrees Fahrenheit or less AND the wind is 5 knots or less you have a strong possibility of fog. However, I did not expect fog and was only interested in flat water.
