Béziers is a small, lovely town in the French region of Languedoc-Roussillon.
Shot after the sunrise by the Orb riverside.

Wonderful Manarola, one of the most photographed spot in Italy and one of my favourite ones.

Villa Panza is a wonderful historical villa in Varese.
It is now a FAI property and you can visit and enjoy it whenever you want.

Nesso is a small village overlooking Lake Como. The only way you have to shoot a picture like this is from a boat.

San Giovanni Festival occurs every year at the end of June and the fireworks on Isola Comacina are simply amazing!

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this shot in my studio.

Time

Not very important for this picture, but it was in the afternoon.

Lighting

I wanted to enlight the subject from both sides, so I used continous lights with softboxes one on the left and one on the right.

Equipment

For this shot, I used my Sony a7S handheld with a 24-70 mm lens and a couple of lights with softboxes.

Inspiration

This shot was taken for the ViewBug photo contest 500 expressions. I think photo contests stimulate photographers' creativity! :)

Editing

Yes, I applied a couple of filters to the original shot to add clarity in particular to the skin of the subject. I also applied the smile and the nose to the cup, which was originally blanck.

In my camera bag

I usually take my Sony A7s with a 24-70 mm Zeiss lens and a 70-200 mm Canon lens with a metabones adapter. A tripod, an eMotimo TB3 for timelaspes and a couple of ND filters.

Feedback

I think if you look at photo contests as a way to improve your skills and add brilliant shots to your portfolio, then you will get some nice results!
