Simplicity, complimentary colors and bingo - absolute magic. Congratulations on a superb image and the justifiable awards.

Location
Taken close to the Northwest town of Derby in Western Australian's Kimberley CountryTime
I had been shooting all day and all night and had followed these tracks wondering where they led. the Sun was rising and it was one of those perfect June Winter mornings. At 6:30 am the Golden Hour was at its best.Lighting
This is the "Golden Hour" and it can on the right day produce the most spectacular colours.Equipment
Nikon D800E with a Nikon 16-35mm lens set at Full Frame 16mm ISO 100-1/250's-f8 Hand Held.Inspiration
After 2 days of following the tracks, wondering where they lead, dreaming about this awesome place I might find, it suddenly stopped. No turn around tracks, to back up tracks, it just stopped, "Had to be Captured"Editing
Shot as a Jpeg, processed in Picasa, bit of contrast and shadow adjustment, slight crop. I shot with a setting I had programed into the camera, one of 3 I use for landscape shots. I am a taker of images rather than a making, the whole process took 2 minutes. Sharpened in Photoshop before printing. In my camera bag
At this time in my life I was traveling through the Northwest, shooting the Wildlife, Night time and what ever lay in front so I had a big kit. Canon 1DsMkIII 2 x 1DMKIII 2 x 40D's 50mm-85mm f1.2 : 24-105mm : 70-200mm-300mm f2.8 : 100-400mm : 600mm Nikon 800E 16-35mm : 24-70mm-70-200mm f2.8. 3 Flashes, remotes, 3 x tripods, 20 batteries for all the cameras.Feedback
Some times, no !!!, a lot of times the simplest subject matter can produce the most amazing images, there are no trees, animals, fences or any other subject that usually you want in a landscape image. 2 colours only! a straight horizon! goes against most of what you are told, don't not capture a moment because you think it does not comply with the experts 5 elements you must have to make a great image. Some times you just need your minds "Eye"
