Grand Jury Winner

"What an incredible composition! Aerial photography is really bringing so many new angles and perspectives to the world, and this shot is no exception. I love the crops flowing into the frame at the 45 degree angle and the combines exactly 90 degrees to that. I'm not sure that this would've worked as well if there was only one combine, but two going in opposite directions and both dust trails behind really tells a story. I imagine the two farmers giving friendly nods as they pass. " - Casey McCallister

Runner Up

"Gorgeous light. This shot almost feels like a painting from the Hudson River School era. Excellent use of the light, rolling hills, and the leading lines to draw my eye to the lightest part of this scene. " - Casey McCallister

Runner Up

"Looks to be a road to nowhere which raises many questions - always a good sign for me when viewing a photograph. Where does the road lead? Was this just one car driving on a wet playa? Why aren't there others? Were they supposed to be there. I love the simplistic composition and the wide angle almost bringing the scene to looking straight down. " - Casey McCallister

Runner Up

"Excellent toning in post production. I'm drawn to how the colors of the man's hood match the field behind him and being able to see just a hint of his face adds to the mystery of this shot. " - Casey McCallister
