Location
I took this photo in my back yard when the sun was setting.Time
It was around 7:00 p.m.Lighting
The lighting was from the setting sun. I just loved how the sun made the water droplets just glisten.Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel and my 18-55 mm lens.Inspiration
I just wanted to do something different. I've seen lots of pictures of dandelions but I wanted to create something unique. I found a perfectly shaped dandelion with all the fuzz intact, I sprayed it down with my water bottle and held it up to the setting sun, and this is the result of that.Editing
Yes, I used Photoshop for my post editing. First I cropped it, then used the depth of field tool, I tweaked the lighting and color slightly and then added a white vignette. In my camera bag
I normally just have 3 lenses, a 18-55 mm lens, 75-300 mm lens and a macro. I have a few filters but rarely use them. I like just the basic equipment. It's so much easier that way.Feedback
My favorite time of the day to take pictures is after 6 p.m in the summer time. I especially like when the sun is setting I love the color and effect it makes. Spray water bottles are fantastic, water droplets are like tiny little crystal balls, I love how the setting sun reflects off the water. Plus you have to let the weeds grow!! Some of my favorite pictures are from weeds. You can find beauty all around us sometimes its as simple as a weed!
